A Very Special Dog!

Officer Mike Harris brought a very special guest to visit us at school!  The kids had recently read a story and studied about dogs who are specially trained to work with police and other members of the community.  So, we were very lucky to have Officer Harris bring his dog, Striker, to show us how he can locate substances just by their smell!  Officer Harris hid some scented items around the library, and when Striker found one, he sat and stared...and stared...and stared...until Officer Harris threw Striker's favorite tennis ball as a reward!
