Today, when I went to pick the 5th graders up from their music class, Mrs Weimer asked to keep our class a little longer so that they could perform for me and for another another 5th grade class that would be coming in soon. And, of course, I couldn't resist a front row seat for their live performance!
The students have been working with a wide variety of instruments (recorders, xylophones, all sorts of drums,...) and have composed their own musical performance together! It reminded me of a tropical island vacation! I loved the way they blended their sounds and rhythms and highlighted each group of instruments! They did great!
