Did you know there are many ways to count change up to a dollar? Well, now, we certainly do!
The third graders challenged their partners today to add money to a given total with the fewest number of coins and dollars. For instance, one player might make $0.70 with seven coins, while the winner might have made $0.70 with only four coins!
We found that there are lots of ways to make a given sum of money. And, we learned that counting money carefully is an important skill!
